Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of all products available at smartbuildertool.com, including paid-licensed add-ins and free open-source spreadsheets. By downloading, installing, or using any of these products, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our products.

1. License of Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use our products on your personal or business computer.

  • Smart UI and Smart Gantt
    You may configure these add-ins (including the Smart UI spreadsheet version) according to your or your clients’ needs and deliver customized Excel files generated with the add-ins to your clients. Redistribution of the add-in files themselves, resale of the software, sublicensing, or sharing activation keys is strictly prohibited.

  • Other Free Add-ins and Spreadsheets
    We provide several other add-ins and spreadsheets free of charge, with open VBA code, for personal and commercial use without the need for an activation key. You may modify these products for your own use or for your clients, but you may not:

    • Sell the products as they were provided.

    • Distribute them claiming authorship or removing original credits.

    • Offer them for download on another website as if they were your original work.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

2. Delivery and Payment

All add-ins available on our website can be downloaded free of charge for testing.
For Smart UI and Smart Gantt, a 30-day trial period is included. After this period, if you wish to continue using the product, you must purchase an activation key (license) from smartbuildertool.com.

Licenses are available in two formats:

  • 1-year license

  • Lifetime license

Upon completion of payment, the activation key (format example: TX1A23Q1-2) will be sent to your email. Entering this key in the add-in will unlock its full functionality.

If no license is purchased after the trial period, the add-in’s features will be disabled until activation.

3. Limited Warranty and Support

We provide technical support and bug fixes for our products when necessary. All products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where required by applicable law.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, including code, interface, design, and product names, is owned by or licensed to us.

For products with open VBA code, you may view, study, and modify the code for personal or client use, but ownership and original authorship remain with Smart Builder Tool.

5. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or other commercial damages.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will be available at smartbuildertool.com/terms-and-conditions and will take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of our products after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
